Ingredients:
6 large apples (a mix of Honeycrisp and Gala works great)
1 cup apple cider or apple juice
ยพ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
ยฝ tsp ground cloves
ยฝ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of saltย
ย
Instructions:
Peel, core, and chop the apples into small chunks.
Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and stir to coat.
Cook onย low for 8โ10 hoursย (or high for 4โ5 hours) until apples are very soft.
Use an immersion blender (or regular blender) to puree until smooth.
Continue cooking uncovered for 1โ2 hours until thickened to your liking.
Let cool and store in jars in the fridge for up to 2 weeks (or freeze for longer).

Spread on toast, drizzle over pancakes, swirl into oatmeal, or gift in small jars for a fall treat! ๐
